How old are you now? Put 14 years more, and think what kind of a life are living then. Can you imagine DS spending time with you all that time?

Ds is not an easy dog to handel. It is clever, fast learner, little bit "bossy" if allowed. If you are looking for a challenge, then this is a right kind of a breed for you. Never expect 100% results, because Ds has a good humor (atleast then when not needed..).

But if you are looking for a loyal dog, which follows you to the moon if needed, various dog to do some agility, obedience, tracking and whatever you might think of, THEN this is a breed for you. DS gets bored easily and really needs something to do. They sleep at house, but when you put a collar on, the dog is 100% willing to do everything.

I have lost my heart on DS. They just seem to have something more. What it is.. I don´t know. But definately they have something more.
